A delegation of experts from Cyber Neva LLC, a leading Russian company in the field of cyber resilience for maritime facilities, is on a business visit to Shanghai (PRC). The purpose of the trip is to participate in Marintec China 2025, the world's leading exhibition for shipbuilding and marine technology, as well as to hold talks with Chinese partners and representatives of the Chinese branch of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping LLC.

The visit comes against the backdrop of the entry into force in 2024 of mandatory international and national cybersecurity requirements for the maritime fleet, including the RMRS Rules (Part XXI “Cyber Resilience”) and IACS UR E26/E27. Obtaining CYBER class certification for a ship now directly depends on the availability of a certified cybersecurity system, which affects both shipowners and ship equipment manufacturers.

Cyber Neva LLC, holding an RMRS certificate of conformity as a cybersecurity inspection company, offers comprehensive solutions to the market. The company acts as a system integrator, providing a full range of services: from the identification of ship computer systems (CS) and the development of all necessary documentation (CS inventory, topological diagrams, recovery plans) to the implementation of certified equipment (such as gateways, switches, and routers) and support in annual inspections.

The visit to Shanghai is a strategic step towards synchronizing approaches to cybersecurity at the global level. Meetings with the RMRS and leading Chinese manufacturers of marine systems will help build effective partnerships.

The focus of the negotiations is on concrete cooperation. Cyber Neva offers CS manufacturers and shipowners a full package of services for documenting and preparing their systems for certification, which significantly reduces their workload and costs.

Participation in Marintec China also provides the Russian company with a platform to demonstrate its own technological solutions, such as the Cyber Vulnerability Detector (CYBEX) scanner, and to discuss trends in the protection of operational technologies (OT) in maritime transport.
